Brian Bendis se dispone a cubrir la historia que hay del final en cliffhanger del videojuego Halo 2 al inicio de Halo 3 el cual que esta a punto de salir, Bendis es jugador de videojuegos pero no tanto como Alex Maleev el dibujante de esta serie que es bastante bueno en la materia. Bendis afirma que considera a Halo la Guerra de las galaxias de nuestra generación por que tiene una historia detrás y un universo interesante (tiene varias novelas) y además tiene algo de experiencia ya que participó en la novela gráfica que realizó Marvel recientemente.
Sin embargo se ha encontrado con dificultades, un personaje que no muestra nunca la cara, aunque acostumbrado a los superheroes seguramente no habrá sido una sorpresa, y también ha tenido que lidiar con lo silencioso que es el Jefe Maestro y que no se haya profundizado mucho en su personalidad y motivaciones, respecto de lo que Bendis considera que en su carrera ya ha tenido que trabajar con personajes estóicos, aunque previsiblemente esto podría derivar en muchas escenas de acción.

Para Bendis el Jefe Maestro es solo una parte de la historia, también está la tierra bajo ataque, las ciudades cayendo, los civiles no saben lo que pasa y todo está sumido en la desesperación y la muerte. En la historia también se seguirá a dos alienígenas, pretende hacer algo del estilo de La guerra de los mundos de Spielberg aportando otra perspectiva.

En cuanto a las restricciones con las que ha trabajado, no ha podido hacer evidentemente nada que contradiga la tercera entrega del juego, pero el equipo desarrollador, Bungie, se ha mostrado muy abierto a dejarles mostrar sus ideas o que exploren zonas poco conocidas. El primer número sale a finales de este mes de Agosto. Y para los que no os hayais enterado recordaros que Panini va a publicar este Septiembre la citada novela gráfica en la que participaron artistas como Moebius o Simon Bisley en formato 100% Marvel, así que la serie seguro que no tarda en llegar.
